Donald Trump wants to “make federal buildings beautiful again” by mandating a return to “the classical architectural style”, according to a draft executive order obtained by Architectural Record on Tuesday.

The Record reported that it had obtained “what appears to be a preliminary draft of the order”.

Under the order, it said, the White House would require a rewrite of the Guiding Principles for Federal Architecture, issued in 1962, “to ensure that ‘the classical architectural style shall be the preferred and default style’ for new and upgraded federal buildings. (..)

President Trump claimed credit for a “great American comeback” in a speech to Congress on Tuesday night, boasting of a robust economy, contrasting his successes with the records of his predecessors and projecting optimism in the face of a monthslong Democratic effort to force him from office.

No lugar do Paes, eu aproveitaria a ocasião para transferir para lá a Cidade do Samba (com acesso muito mais direto ao Sambódromo) e criar, na antiga "cebola" da RFFSA, o novo bairro residencial da região da Portuária – uma notável ausência na Operação Urbana do Porto Maravilha – com moradias para todas as faixas de renda, estação de metrô, escolas, supermercados, UPA, padarias, farmácias, manicures, restaurantes e botecos.
